- I'm a 33 year old freelance Web writer. I've been working as a writer for more than a decade. My first job after graduating with a BA in Philosophy was as the Managing Editor for a weekly newspaper. When I left the newspaper I went to work for a publishing company writing and editing magazine articles and Website content. In that job I learned a lot about Web writing and how very different content written for the Web needs to be from content written for print.
After many years honing my skills at Web writing I struck out on my own as a freelancer and I've been working for myself ever since. My years of experience in both print writing and Web writing have given me the skills to write great Web content for any website. I've written articles, ebooks and website content for many of the top names in the SEO business.
I'm also a lifelong crafter, mostly in fiber arts like sewing and crocheting. I love fine yarns and fine fabrics and I love to make clothing and home items like afghans and blankets from gorgeous fabrics and yarns. For me, writing pays better than crafting so now I'm taking my career in a new direction and moving away from corporate SEO writing. I'd like to help other artists and crafters use the marketing tools that big businesses have been using for years because they are really effective.

- Web writing isn't easy. In order to get the most from your website content it needs to be fresh, interesting, engaging, original, and also search engine optimized. Web writing is a weird blend of the analytic and the creative and so a Web writer needs to be highly analytical and have a great logical mind to handle the search engine optimization, keyword density, and other technical aspects of Web writing while at the same time having a lot of creativity and solid writing skills.
